Martin Carpio, flying with the Polini Thor 202 once again hit the FAI triangle world record in single-seat category by covering 350 km in just over 6 hours, consuming only 25 liters.
He took off from Valdelaguna airport, about fifty kilometers far from Madrid, and headed for Villarejo de Montalbán through the impervious mountainous surrounding the city of Toledo.
Not an easy task, following a complex route due to the strong wind, made even more complicated by adverse weather conditions with dense fog banks.
Along the way, Martin was able to count on the visual and moral support of Lorenzo Alarcón, who flew with him from the beginning till the end, where they were able to celebrate the world record.
