POLINI THOR 202 RACING
Racing as a bench test for the serial production.
Polini officially renews its commitment to the paramotor competitions with the new Thor 202 RACING, a direct evolution of the Thor 202 tested and developed with a clear purpose: to offer the best in slalom competitions, SERIAL category.
This project is born from the experience gained on international race fields, where every second counts and every component is pushed to the limit. The Thor 202 RACING is designed for those seeking acceleration, immediate throttle response and a power to weight ratio of reference
A targeted evolution: more responsive, more “racing”
The Thor 202 RACING maintains the technical basis of 202 — 2 stroke and liquid cooled monocylinder — but introduces specific solutions for competitive use and “sporty” slalom riding:
• Optimized internal fluid dynamic, for a quicker response at medium and high revs
• Dedicated racing exhaust, studied to maximize power delivery during acceleration
• Specific slalom settings, with a more aggressive curve and faster revs up
• Programmable PVL digital ignition, for a precise and adaptable management of the advance curve
• Dell’Orto VHSH Ø30 carburetor, chosen to ensure fast transitions and maximum performance at high revs
The result is an engine that delivers power immediately but in a controllable way, ideal for the rapid changes of direction and continuous reopening typical of the slalom.
The race isn’t just a finish line: it is an extreme test to improve the serial production
The value of the competitions is very high: the race is a real laboratory, an environment where the engine is subjected to continuous stress, different temperatures and repeated uses at the limit.
Every solution settled on the Thor 202 RACING contributes to consolidate the know-how, materials, and calibrations that nourish the development of serial production: harder tests today mean greater reliability tomorrow, for all the engines intended for riders and enthusiasts who choose Polini.
